Quasi-judicial settings

Right, so I got a temporary job as a clerk for the City. It is in a quasi-judicial setting and the tasks I need to accomplish in a day are as tedious as the job is temporary. The bloke whose desk I sat in for the last two days has scribbled drawings under the two monitors that make up the work station. This is one of them.

I don't know if this happy chappy will be returning to work, but I am certain that there is someone else who is leaving on Wednesday which is why I believe I was brought on board this delightful ship. It seems that the department is staffed almost entirely with temp workers - one way to help keep costs down, don't pay benefits on top of entirely inadequate wages. Regardless, it's temporary and all I can say is that an hour for lunch is too long in this kind of setting.
